The toddlers and preschoolers in my home daycare LOVE crafting for Valentine’s Day. We’ve made oodles of Valentine crafts over the years, and we’ve been busy these past couple of weeks making cards and gifts that the hooligans can give their parents on Valentine’s Day.
All of 5 of these Valentine crafts are easy to set up, they use materials and supplies that you likely already have on hand, and they give little ones an opportunity to explore colour and texture and develop fine-motor skills while getting crafty and creative.
5 Easy Valentine Crafts for Toddlers and Preschoolers:
Gather up your ribbon scraps, and kids can make these sweet Ribbon Strip Valentine’s Cards for parents, grandparents or friends.
Toddlers and preschoolers LOVE crumpling up tissue paper. Set them up with a stack of red, pink tissue squares, and they can make a simple Valentine wreath to hang on a door or window.
Preschoolers can practice early sewing skills with this paper bag puffy heart. Of course, stamping with corks and stuffing the heart is fun too! All great activities to help little ones develop fine-motor skills.
