“LingoLingo” MIGHT Have A Lot Of Potential For English Language Learners


Over my years of teaching ELLs, English Central was consistently the online tool that students liked the most.
The problem was that it’s pretty expensive, and I didn’t always feel like I could afford it (because, of course, it had to come out of my pocket).
I have always kept my eye open for l0wer-cost or free sites that have similar features where, among other things, users watch and listen to to snippets of videos, users repeat them, and then AI evaluates the user’s pronunciation.
Late last year, I finally found one called ShadowingGo but, I kid you not, it closed down for maintenance the very day I blogged about it and hasn’t reopened since.
I just learned about another tool that might have potential. It’s an app called LingoLingo.
You have to pay if you want to use it without ads, but it’s free if you are willing to deal with the ads. However, I don’t think it has the ability to create virtual classrooms.
