These nests are really easy to make.

Toddlers and preschoolers may need a little help with this project, but older kids will be able to do it all by themselves.

At Easter, these birds nests are perfect for holding the Easter chick crafts and Easter egg crafts your kids make.

I think they’d also make a cute little home for a stuffed bird or any other small stuffies that need a cozy place to sleep.

Let me show you how we made our birds nests, and your kids can make a bunch for your house!

How to Make a Paper Bag Nest

Supplies:

  • narrow paper bag (we used the size of bag that would hold a wine bottle.
  • scissors

To make your nest:

Begin by trimming off the top of your paper bag.

This will remove some of the bulk, making the bag easier to work with. You’ll want to leave at least leaving 3 or 4 inches of the bottom part of the bag to work with.

Roll the top edge of the bag outward,

Continue to loosely roll the bag until you get to the bottom.

When you get to the bottom, simply, give it a squeeze here and there to shape your nest.
